Practicing Green Development to Build Eco-Friendly Ports
CMPort stays true to the principle that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, and strictly implements the state’s decisions and plans on energy conservation and environmental protection. We always take worst-case scenarios into consideration, vigorously guard against climate risks and control energy consumption intensity and amount, and consolidate the foundation while addressing weaknesses. We work hard to address prominent issues in environmental pollution to contribute to steady progress on energy conservation and environmental protection.
Comprehensive energy consumption per RMB 10,000 of operating revenue (current price) 0.0608 TCE/RMB 10,000
Scope 1 GHG emissions 80,428 tons of CO2 equivalent
Scope 2 GHG emissions 255,766 tons of CO2 equivalent
Responding to Climate Change
The Company follows the national policies on low-carbon and energy conservation, continuously improves the energy saving and emission reduction and environmental management system, and increases environmental investment year by year. We strengthen the ability to identify and respond to climate risks, press ahead with clean and low-carbon development, and advocate the concept of green development and environmental protection, thus contributing to the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
Identifying Climate Risks
While prioritizing precautions and putting people first, we take a hightech multi-prong approach to respond to typhoon and flood risks. We have promoted the construction of emergency command platforms, and introduced the weather early-warning system to realize information exchange with the weather forecasting system of the local meteorological authority, enhancing our ability to issue early warning and guard against weather disasters.
